On Saturday 16th February at 11.30am at the Exmoor Store in Minehead I shall be taking part in an Exmoor Book Festival author talk where I shall be discussing my personal and professional journey which led me to be doing the work I do today. It is quite an extraordinary story which has taken quite some courage to share and one which I hope will touch people on many levels. I cannot wait ! Tickets are available from Exmoor store at https://www.facebook.com/events/224407778504580 or by clicking on the link on my Facebook business page Giuliana Wheater Therapies For Special Needs . See you there !
I am so happy to share with you that I have been invited to give a talk at the Exmoor Book Festival which is running from 9th – 11th November 2018.
My talk will be at 12.30pm on Sunday 11th November as this is a very special day for me. I have decided to call my talk ” Finding My Yellow ” which is the title of the book I am currently writing. This will give a good background to my first book and journey – whilst at the same time bridging the link to my next book.
On Saturday 24th March 2016 I did a talk and book signing at WHSmith book signing in Barnstaple, Devon. My son Ollie accompanied me and brought along his prized fountain pen to sign copies along with me. I never forget that it is because of his bravery and openess that I was able to develop my therapy and be allowed to talk about him and our journey . I feel he has more right to sign the books than me ! He is an amazing boy !
Mary Atkinson, a fellow therapist, author and tutor has recently written a full review of Giuliana’s ‘Indian Head Massage for Special Needs’ book. To read the review and to find more information about Mary Atkinson, please click here to visit her site.
On Saturday 30th January 2016 Waterstones of Bath hosted my official launch and book signing event. The day was covered by Alex Kennedy of Bath Life magazine who has kindly allowed me to use some of the photographs he took. The event will be appearing in Bath Life on March 4th! I pinched myself throughout the day and was thrilled to see so many friends and family , many of whom had travelled. I met some fantastic and truly inspiring new people too and will forever carry their stories with me. This was an amazing opportunity and one I shall never forget.
On Friday 29 January 2016 I held my first WHSmith book signing event. It was a huge success and very well supported . The manager delightedly told me afterwards that I had outsold Mary Berry by three copies !! More WHSmith book signing events to follow shortly in Bath and Barnstaple !
I have recently written a blog for SingingDragon.com discussing my book, story thus far and my hopes, aspirations and dreams. Please feel free to pop by SingingDragon.com and have a read for more details. You can also find a brief extract from my book here.
I am very excited to announce my first WHSmith book signing event to be held in Minehead on Friday 29 January 2016. It is a real honour to do something like this for such a major mainstream book store . The first of many I hope !
On Thursday 10th December I did my first ever book signing – a wonderful event where I kept wanting to pinch myself ! I learned so much and met some amazing, inspiring people . I feel extremely honoured to be in a position where I can now share my work with others and touch so many lives. The feedback has been incredible . I poured my heart and soul into the pages and achieved this book against all the odds. It was a proud day .
